Turkey Burgers with Spinach + Sweet Potato


The following is a tasty high protein recipe from my friend and UFE Pro Physique Athlete Anita Walter. She posts a ton of recipes on her Instagram:@anita_walter_8 and I highly recommend following her for more great ideas.

Ingredients

500 g extra lean ground turkey (Lilydale)

4 oz baked sweet potato flesh*

2 cups (large handfuls) baby spinach, fresh

1 1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 1/2 tsp onion powder

1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Salt + Pepper, to taste

*Tip: Bake the sweet potatoes ahead of time. I tend to bake several pounds at once and freeze the flesh for future use once the potatoes have cooled.

Cooking Instructions

Combine all ingredients well and form 4 patties. Grill or broil. This recipe is ideal for batch cooking and freezing.

Total Calories: 180

Net Carbs: 5 g

Fat: 6.4 g

Protein: 24.75 g
