What is a Macronutrient? Macronutrients are nutrients that make up food and supply our bodies with energy (calories). There are 4 types of macronutrients: Protein, Fat, Carbohydrate and Alcohol (Yip, alcohol is a source of energy and not just a source of embarrassing stories/sore heads).
